Food Security and Livelihood

Building Resilience Against Hunger and Climate Change

When crops fail and floods rise, we support families through emergency food relief and sustainable livelihood programs, helping them adapt to a changing environment.

Agriculture development is a big priority of the government since over 80% of the population lives in rural areas and heavily rely on Agriculture for their livelihoods.

Assistance with farming and developing income-generating activities help people to settle, build sustainable livelihoods and sustainable economic growth. Since the majority of the people live in the rural areas, success in agricultural development will improve the livelihoods of the rural people by reducing poverty, increase sustainable livelihoods and create income opportunities for women and men, enhancing their food security; which is the country’s priority goals.
