AEF’s community engagement and participatory development support the engagement of citizens in the planning, implementation and oversight of local development activities at various levels of groups, cooperatives, villages, Boma, Payam and county levels to attract:
- More inclusive and participatory local planning, implementation and accountability processes that also address local drivers of conflict.
- Improved community structures functionality and capacities through “learning by doing.”
- A more predictable and transparent system managing and owning community resources be it from government, NGOs or from the communities themselves.
